On August 15, 2007, we officially opened Imperium Grays Harbor (IGH), a 100 million gallon per year nameplate capacity and the nation's largest BQ-9000® certified biodiesel plant.
Imperium Renewables produces pure, unblended B100 biodiesel refined from a variety of oils; canola grown in the Pacific Northwest and Canada, soy, and many other crops. Our proprietary technology produces a consistently high-quality fuel that exceeds all American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) D6751 Standards and the European Standard EN 14214 and can be tailored to any additional standards required by the end user.
We are committed to using local feedstock sources whenever possible, and work directly with regional farmers to develop the finest feedstock oils for use in our processes. Our "farmer to fuel pump" approach and commitment to local production benefits our regional economy by keeping energy dollars within our communities.
IGH dedicated 95 percent of construction expenditures to Washington state-based firms, creating more than 350 construction-related jobs during its construction. Leading the project's construction was JH Kelly, a Longview, Washington based industrial scale construction company.
At Imperium Grays Harbor our policy is to meet the expectations of our customers and to provide them with a partner on whom they can depend. Every employee is dedicated to making IGH a leader in the biodiesel industry. Our policy is to provide product that exceeds the specifications set forth in ASTM D6751 and BQ-9000®, while maintaining the focus on continuous improvement for the future.
